Hello everyone, I hope all your summer's were as eventful and enjoyable as mine was! It was the busiest summer yet for The Daybeats. We played quite a few shows throughout the Okanagan at various locations such as the Gyro Band shell for the Sunshine Cabaret, "Art in Action" at the Penticton Library cort yard, The Barking Parrot, and Jose's Pepper club, where we hosted the first of many "Paint it Loud" events! We Played with another local band from Kelowna called "Closing Iris" and there are talks of a possible spring tour... Right now we are taking things back to the studio to do some recording of our new material. Really stoaked for this!!
Also, this fall I will be starting up bass lessons again, but this year from my own place. I will be teaching out of my personal studio and for more information please email me at surowski@hotmail.com
Lessons will be starting early September.
Cube, one of the jazz ensembles I play with will once again be at Martini's every Tuesday evening from 7pm - 10pm through the fall season.
